Frequently Asked Questions
Is Git雑誌(GitZasshi) affiliated with GitHub, Inc.?
No. Git雑誌(GitZasshi) is an independent third-party application created by Kouta Fukuhara and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by GitHub, Inc. "Git" and "GitHub" are referenced solely to describe service and platform compatibility.
How does Git雑誌(GitZasshi) handle article contents and copyright?
Git雑誌(GitZasshi) operates strictly as a personal client-side reader tool, similar to an RSS reader or web browser. The application and backend service do not host, republish, or distribute copyrighted articles on any public server. When you subscribe to a repository, the iOS application fetches publicly accessible Markdown files directly from GitHub for private offline reading.
Do I need a GitHub account or login to use the app?
No account registration or login is required. Git雑誌(GitZasshi) is ready to use immediately upon installation. We do not collect, track, or share any personal information, browsing history, or identifiers.
Can I read subscribed articles offline?
Yes. Once an article is downloaded, its formatted text and cached images are stored in your device's local database (SQLite). You can continue reading your articles anytime without an active internet connection, such as during flights or subway commutes.
How often are repository updates checked for new articles?
Our background service checks subscribed repositories once every 24 hours using conditional ETag queries to respect GitHub API limits and battery life. When new articles are detected, push notifications are delivered directly to your device.
What kinds of repositories can I subscribe to?
You can subscribe to any publicly accessible GitHub repository containing Markdown articles or documentation, such as developer blogs, RFCs, weekly tech digests, TILs (Today I Learned), and release notes. Private repositories requiring personal access tokens are not supported at this time.
Developer
Kouta Fukuhara is an independent developer based in Tokyo, Japan.

Security
Because the Application does not collect personal data, the risk of personal data exposure is minimal. However, no security system is completely secure. The Service Provider implements reasonable safeguards to protect systems and any data it holds.
